This is the blogging platform of Anna-Kirsten Perczel, accomplished technical writer and aspiring first-time novelist with a keen interest in Eastern and Central Europe and Communist-era politics.  She has a degree in European Studies from a private women’s college in Massachusetts, and has studied extensively in both Eastern and Western Europe.  She speaks multiple languages, including German, which she learned at a tender age from her father, who was raised in the Bavarian Alps.  Her first novel is an exploration of her family’s uniquely transcontinental identity – and activity –  before, during and after the World Wars.
